"Naf Nao! Iumi man save stopem vaelens" - Enough Now! We men can stop violence

A male advocates’ guide to stopping violence against women in the Solomon Islands.

While typically initiatives in the battle on violence against women have been women-led, this project acknowledges that men have a crucial role to play in leading solutions to the problem. This manual will be used to train male advocates as champions for the cause, to combat sexual violence and abuse against women. Male advocates will use this guide to facilitate informal and participatory sessions with men in their community. This has been developed as a part of the project 'Men Against Violence Against Women' (MAVAW) in the Solomon Islands.

This Rapid Assessment of Perceptions (RAP) provides an analysis of the main factors and variables in perceptions of communities in Baa Dharavandhoo, Maalhos, Kihaadhoo Kamadhooa and Kudarikilu, specifically their capacity to undertake conservation farming practices and uptake new, resilient, adaptive and appropriate organic farming techniques in a changing climate. This project is funded by IUCN.

This toolkit has been developed as part of the 'Promoting community resilience to Climate Change, by the introduction and dissemination of conservation agriculture, through Island Women’s Development Committees, in five islands in Baa Atoll in the North Province of Maldives' project. The guide outlines particular methods for growing crops in climate-change affected areas, and those with high levels of soil salinity.
