Annual Report 2011
Forests are home to 300 million people across the globe and 1.6 billion people rely on healthy forest ecosystems for their livelihoods and survival. Yet, forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Every year 13 million hectares of forests are lost to deforestation, compromising community health, food security, water safety, livelihoods and the global climate.
Forests and their interconnectedness to people’s well-being is a key priority of Live & Learn and a strong influence on many of our programs.
