TSSLP- Education for Protection of Natural Resources
The project funded by the Asian Development Bank and implemented by Live & Learn in partnership with the Ministry of Environment. The project assessed the successes and constraints of environmental education in Cambodia generally and the Tonle Sap specifically and worked closely with communities with the highest resources extraction rates in five provinces surrounding the Tonle Sap. The purpose of the Project was to safeguard livelihoods by strengthening ecosystem resilience. An intense education and community engagement campaign was mobilized and a Live & Learn mobile training team was delivering supportive activities over a period of 3 years to the target communities. These activities included (i) assembling of educational materials on natural resources management, (ii) training of community leaders (iii) strengthen women’s groups and (iv) provide training to key staff at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries, Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Ministry for Rural development.
