Capacity Building Within Formal And Non-Formal Education Systems To Support The Implementation Of National Biodiversity Strategic Action Plans In The South Pacific – Papua New Guinea

Funding for phase 2 of the project has ended, but work on the project with our pilot schools in PNG is still continuing. We are still working with our partner organisation, Research and Conservation Foundation delivering Education for Biodiversity Conservation (EBC) Education to Trainee teachers at the University of Goroka and Balob Teachers College. The EBC resource manual is now used as the course hand book for the environmental education course for the trainee teachers.   In Phase two of the project we have been able to print sufficient copies of the EBC manual to support the program for the next two years. The demand for the resource is still very high and we need to secure funding for reprinting.
